Activity of SPoTT2

The SPoTT2 program comprises ten activity involving: the residents living in the area of interest of the waste-to-energy (WtE) incineration plant and residents living outside the area of interest; plant workers; polluting emissions released by the plant which can affect air quality and soil deposition; biomonitoring of eggs from free range chickens. Each line of activity is coordinated by a team of experts from the Epidemiological Service, ARPA Piemonte, Local Health Units (ASL), the Local Institute for the Prevention of Animal Diseases, and the Italian National Institute of Health.

A technical-scientific committee made up of Italian experts of national and international renown ensures validation of methodologies and results.
